Kimmer Coppejans (ATP-149) heeft naast de titel gegrepen op het Challengertoernooi van Banja Luka (Bosnië, Gravel, € 118 000).
Coppejans plaatste zich vlot voor de finale van het Challengertoernooi in Banja Luka. Daarin nam hij het op tegen het 18-jarige Kroatische talent Dino Prizmic (ATP-241).
De jonge Kroaat was duidelijk een maatje te sterk voor onze landgenoot. Coppejans moest met 6-2 en 6-3 het onderspit delven. Dankzij zijn finaleplek stijgt hij wel met elf plaatsen naar het nummer 149 op de ATP-ranking. Coppejans maakt zich nu klaar voor de kwalificaties van de US Open.
